This will be the 16th in a series of 4-yearly symposia, which started in 1957, attracting those from around the world (from universities and industry) involved in research into the science and engineering of pulp and paper manufacture and into paper and paperboard as finished materials. Allied topics such as the manufacture and uses of cellulose nanofibres are included. Submitted abstracts are refereed to create a draft programme, with full papers then peer-reviewed before final acceptance. Discussion after presentations is recorded, transcribed, edited and included in the proceedings.
