The Sardinia Symposia were established in 1987 and rapidly became the Reference Forum in the field of Waste Management for the international community, where state of the art concepts, strategies and technologies are presented and experiences shared by leading scientists, administrators and practitioners.The 2019 edition of the conference will be held in the traditional venue of the Forte Village Resort at S. Margherita di Pula (Cagliari, Italy) and is expected to register the participation of up to 1000 delegates from dozens of different countries worldwide. In line with tradition, the 17th edition of the conference will focus on advances in the field of Waste Management science and technologies, presenting case studies and discussing key controversial subjects, sharing experiences from different countries, and assessing social and economical balances.The Symposium will include general oral presentations, specialized sessions and specialist workshops for a total of eight parallel tracks, poster sessions and a number of parallel events. One session will be held entirely in Italian. Furthermore a number of industry sessions will be included in the main conference programme.During the Symposium a commercial exhibition will be held in the Foyer adjacent to the conference where companies may advertise new concepts and technologies.
