The Particle Therapy Co-Operative Group is a worldwide organisation of scientists and professionals interested in proton, light ion and heavy charged particle radiotherapy. The mission of PTCOG is to promote science, technology and practical clinical application of particle therapy, with the ultimate goal of improving treatment of cancer to the highest possible standards in radiation therapy. With Manchester's own contribution to the history of particle science, and technological innovation that has continued to this day, we are proud that PTCOG58 will be centred around the theme of innovation - scientific, clinical, technical and industrial - and how the worldwide growth of particle therapy will develop in years to come. The PTCOG Scientific Committee will bring you the very latest developments in an excellent scientific programme, varied activities both at and away from the conference, and specialist speakers, who are influencers and experts in the field. Online registration opens in November 2018. The accepted abstract topics at PTCOG58 cover a broad range of issues related to improving treatment of cancer with particle therapy.
