The Pan American League of Associations of Rheumatology (PANLAR) has news and one of them is that the PANLAR Congress will be held every year, instead of being biennial. In 2019 it will take place in Quito, Ecuador, Cultural Heritage of Humanity. For the Ecuadorian Society of Rheumatology it will be an honor to receive them in our beautiful country, the Middle of the World, and in one of the most beautiful cities of America. We will continue with the quality of the previous Congresses and we will add new features such as the Jornadas de Especialidades Allied to Rheumatology. We will continue with the Congress of patients with rheumatic diseases and we will do the First Workshop for nurses in Rheumatology. We have proven the enthusiasm of our researchers and experts in presenting their research and experiences to the PANLAR community, and we know that we have great researchers and academics who sometimes do not have the space they deserve in other international events, often due to language barriers. At the PANLAR Congresses, we want to give you space and welcome. Renowned Professors of our continent and the rest of the world, specialists in Rheumatology and related professions, will honor us with their presence, to share the latest scientific advances of the physiopathological mechanisms, the genetics of rheumatic diseases, the prevention of disability, the latest advances in treatment and many other topics more current.
