Memo

MCWASP brings together leading academics, researchers and engineers from all over the world for a week filled with state-of-the-art science, personal meetings and unforgettable experiences. MCWASP is a scientific conference dedicated to modelling and observations of solidification and related phenomena coupled with casting and welding processes. Since the first conference in 1980, it has been the premier meeting for gathering leading academics, researchers, engineers and software developers from all over the world. This has provided plenty of time for personal contacts, exciting discussions and sharing of recent scientific findings. Programming will feature all aspects of solidification modelling including solidification process technologies (continuous and semi-continuous casting, shape casting, additive manufacturing, and welding among others), coupled multi-physics simulations, defect formation, fluid flow, micro and macrostructure formation, numerical methods, as well as related experimentation especially in-situ observation of solidification. ABOUT BANFFBanff is a resort town in the province of Alberta, located within Banff National Park. The peaks of Mt. Rundle and Mt. Cascade, part of the Rocky Mountains, dominate its skyline. On Banff Avenue, the main thoroughfare, boutiques and restaurants mix with château-style hotels and souvenir shops. The surrounding 6,500 square kilometers of parkland are home to wildlife including elk and grizzly bears. Banff has a rich heritage as one of the world's most breathtaking mountain destinations. For centuries, Banff has inspired people with its spectacular natural beauty. They are places steeped in tales of adventure, exploration, and myth. Banff Centre for Arts Accommodations The conference will be held at the Banff Arts Centre, in the heart of the Banff Townsite and within Banff National Park - Canada's first National Park.MCWASP registration is an all-inclusive package. You will book your accommodations during the registration process.
