The Conference chooses a theme for every edition to focus and zoom in a particular industry challenge. The outcome will be to create and document industry learnings, best practices and common approaches and philosophy. This year with the theme “Stretching the Dollar” Maintenance, Integrity, Productivity. As the industry faces challenges with oil prices and uncertainty, CAPEX has been reduced over the last few years and everyone is under pressure to reduce OPEX, maximize efficiency, productivity and stretch the dollar to the maximum while getting more out of existing fields. This has forced the industry to delay asset maintenance and push back on spending over the last few years thus creating an urgent need currently for major maintenance across the assets. The industry needs a new approach to maintenance to ensure all assets are world class with high integrity at the lowest cost, while maintaining an excellent safety record and reducing our carbon foot print. This can be achieved through the use of innovative technology as well as reviewing workflow and maintenance culture to increase efficiency and productivity. The Conference will feature distinguished keynote speakers, technical sessions addressing a wide range of topics, challenges and developments by senior industry leaders and technical experts and panel discussions. MODC will once again highlight and address the latest innovations, technologies and know-how and updates on regional offshore developments, with particular emphasis on maximizing efficiency and productivity, cost containment to ensure future sustainability of the industry. MODC 2020 is a great platform for all offshore professionals, providing an opportunity to overcome challenges, solve problems, learn, and exchange ideas with peers in the industry.
