Interest in self-healing materials is being fuelled by the desire to extend the lifetime and safety of products and components in industries as diverse as the automotive, aviation, medical, electrical, electronic, construction, infrastructure, and oil & gas sectors. The conference will present the most recent breakthroughs in mechanisms and materials including polymers, elastomers, composites and coatings utilising capsule-based, vascular or intrinsic systems, to restore material functionalities in response to material fatigue, impact damage, puncture, and corrosion.
