COURSE OVERVIEW: A distinguished faculty will present recent advances in trauma and fracture fixation, arthritis management, joint reconstruction, treatment of sports-related conditions, spine surgery, hand and upper extremity evaluation and management, and physical therapy. Participants will be given ample time for interactive discussions and opportunities to interact with faculty, plus hands-on workshops. COURSE OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:• Describe common musculoskeletal conditions • Discuss updates in treatment of common orthopaedic injuries • Assess appropriate diagnostic imaging tests • Understand indications for referral to a specialist with regard to hip and knee disorders • Apply new approaches to relieve pain and improve function in patients with orthopaedic injuries • Evaluate existing therapies to enhance treatment TARGET AUDIENCE: Primary care practitioners, physicians, physical therapists, athletic trainers, and other allied healthcare professionals whose scope of practice or profession includes orthopaedics.
