The recent EASA Rule and its 2 year Compliance window regarding Aircrew Mental Fitness poses significant challenges and opportunities to the civil aerospace sector. The conference will highlight these and consider how the industry can best respond and build on the rules to create a safer and more efficient industry. The fallout from the GermanWings tragedy has resulted in a recognition that mental health is a key aspect of the safe and efficient operation of the global aviation industry. Initiatives such as Peer Support programmes and recent EASA regulations have cemented the concept in the aviation community.
