It is organized by Shandong University of Science and Technology, hosted by College of Electrical Engineering and Automation of Shandong University of Science and Technology, co-organized by Shandong University, Qingdao University and School of Robotics and Automation of Nanjing University, and technically co-sponsored by IEEE Control Systems Society and IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society   Control theory and engineering have witnessed dramatic achievements, which have made possible space travel and communication satellites, have assisted in the design of safe and efficient aircraft, ships, trains and cars, and have helped in developing cleaner chemical processes while addressing environmental concerns. Control technology constantly improves the quality of human life, as a driver of technological progress and society industrialization. Nowadays, control is more secure and more exciting than it was. The subject now seems to be morphing into the wider and more general topic of systems engineering and control, especially accompanied by emerging new technologies such as AI, 5G, edge computing etc. The topic of control theory and applications is still therefore wide open and will expand, with even greater challenges. 2026 6th International Conference on Control Theory and Applications (ICoCTA 2026) aims to bring together researchers, engineers, scientists and industry professionals in a single platform and present their stimulating research and knowledge transfer ideas in Control Theory and Applications. However, we also recognize that the future for researchers and engineers is one where they will be working in interdisciplinary teams to solve new, complex and evolving problems that will require innovative solutions. Therefore, we encourage the participation of other disciplines in this conference where multidisciplinary research and knowledge transfer projects are presented. The conference will start with a registration day on October 23 followed by two full days of technical sessions consisting of keynote lectures, oral presentations and poster presentations.  . ICoCTA 2026 Organizing Committee   ★Publication Information Registered and presented full papers will be included in the ICoCTA 2026 digital conference proceedings and submitted to major citation databases (including, but not limited to Ei Compendex and Scopus) for review and indexing.   ★Call for papers (https://www.icocta.org/cfp.html) Topics of Interest include but not limited to: Adaptive Systems Aerospace Systems Automation Automotive Control Autonomous System Cognitive Control Complex Systems Computational Methods Control Applications Control Education Control in Manufacturing and Production Linear Systems Machine Learning for Control Mechatronics Medical Applications MEMS in Control Intelligent Systems Modeling Multivariable Control Network Control Systems Noise and Vibration Control Nonlinear Systems Optimization Process Control Real-time Control
