Due to COVID-19, we are now learning new ways to keep up to date and new ways to communicate. Recent innovations in information technology now are available to share knowledge and remain connected.In our continuous effort to support you in this new era, the European Academy of Paediatrics Association (EAP) has decided to change the congress from "face to face" to virtual.This virtual congress should greatly contribute to your knowledge, as well as enable you to stay connected with the EAP and your colleagues from all over the world. The congress will present a one-and-a-half-day workshop entitled MasterCourse in Paediatrics, which is based on most recent publications, promises to be an excellent event.The MasterCourse will focus on Vaccines and Immunology and will take place 22-23 April, 2021.The scientific chair, Prof. Patricia Bruijning and the Committee Members: Prof. Sylvia Kamphuis and Dr. Lilly Verhagen have prepared an excellent programme with renowned faculty members. The MasterCourse in Paediatrics will take place in relatively small break-out rooms with only limited seating capacity. I therefore recommend early registration. The scientific committee of the congress has set up an interesting programme for both senior and junior doctors which covers in depth important clinical subjects. Once again, we anticipate a significant scientific contribution from junior doctors and encourage them to submit abstracts. Accepted abstracts will be presented as posters or oral presentations with lead authors of these abstracts automatically eligible for sending an application for a travel grant.(see eligible criteria) Accepted abstracts will be published in the Frontiers of Paediatrics and therefore, citable.
